คุณไม่จำเป็นต้องมีบัญชี Gmail หรือบัญชีอีเมลองค์กร Google Workspace เท่านั้นจึงจะสามารถใช้งาน AppSheet ได้ คุณสามารถใช้งาน AppSheet จากบัญชี Microsoft, Dropbox, Box, Smartsheet หรือ Salesforce ได้เช่นกัน
แหล่งเก็บข้อมูลของ AppSheet นั้นจะขึ้นอยู่กับช่องทางที่คุณเลือกได้อย่างอิสระ เช่น Cloud Storage อย่าง Google Sheets, Cloud SQL หรือฐานข้อมูลอื่น ๆ แต่ในบางกรณี AppSheet จะมีการเก็บข้อมูลไว้ชั่วคราวเพื่อปรับปรุงและพัฒนาประสิทธิภาพ และเพื่อซัพพอร์ตฟังก์ชันต่าง ๆ เช่น Audit Log ซึ่งคุณสามารถควบคุมฟังก์ชันเหล่านี้ได้ที่การกำหนดค่าแอปพลิเคชัน (Application Configuration)
นอกจาก Google Sheets และ Google Drive แล้ว AppSheet ยังสามารถเชื่อมต่อกับ Excel files, Cloud SQL, Apigee, Azure SQL, AWS, Salesforce objects, Smartsheet, OData, และอื่น ๆ อีกมากมาย
ผู้ใช้งาน (User) สำหรับ AppSheet คือผู้ที่ลงทะเบียนใช้งานแอปให้ฐานะผู้ที่มีสิทธิ์เข้าถึงฟังก์ชันต่าง ๆ ซึ่งหนึ่งบัญชีจะถูกนับเป็นหนึ่งผู้ใช้งาน ดังนั้นแล้วคุณจำเป็นต้องมี License ตามจำนวนผู้ใช้งาน แต่หากคุณไม่ได้ลงทะเบียนเข้าใช้งาน คุณจะถูกนับเป็น Guest-user ซึ่งจะไม่มีอำนาจในการแก้ไขใด ๆ
